Lodema Jolly Foster, 86, wife of the late Robert Henry Foster, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her home.
Born September 10, 1929 in Nicholas County, she was a daughter of the late William T. & Vernia Watkins Jolly, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and member of the New Beginnings Church (formerly Carlisle Assembly of God). Lodema was an avid UK Baskeball fan, who enjoyed spending time at the Nicholas County Senior Citizens Center, shopping for bargains, traveling and "being on the go."
Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sons: Bobby Foster, of Carlisle, and Eric (Treva) Foster, of Mt. Sterling; 2 daughters: Nettie (Denver) Brown, of Carlisle, and Paula (Hoss) Wilson, of Cynthiana; a brother, Hiland Jolly, of Bourbon County; 8 grandchildren: Lodema Foster, Daniel, Bradley & Nicholas "Pubbie" Brown, Shasta Kessler, Ryan McNabb and E.J. & Erica Foster; 20 great-grandchildren and her special friends, Melba & Delmar Kerns.
Also preceding her in death were 2 brothers, Harold & Reynolds Jolly, and 4 sisters: Libby Feeback, Pauline Bowles, Evelyn Bishop and Geneva Foster.
Services will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Rev. Darrell Sexton. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday.
