Helen Louise McCarty, 87, of Carlisle, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home.
Born December 28, 1931 in Bourbon County to the late Wm. Ernest & Callie Lee Blevens McCarty, she was a retired employee of Jockey International, having worked there for more than 40 years. Louise was a devoted lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Carlisle, where she was very active in the Kitchen Ministry.
Surviving are a son, David (Kim) McCarty; a sister, Betty (Eugene) Clevenger, of Florida; 5 grandchildren: Andy (Hannah) McCarty, Ashley (Sam) Laha, Michael Worrell, Candyce Worrell and Brittney Worrell; 2 great-grandchildren: Aubrey & Ayden McCarty; special nieces: Jackie Anderson, Billie Ertel, Becky McClure and Judy Morris; and special friends, Libby Clark, Gary & Lisa Dotson, Brownie & Kim Hollar, Gene Kelley, Faye Ring & family, and Vicki Sparks; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were 6 brothers: Carlton, Chester, Elmer, Roger, Tom & William McCarty, and 4 sisters: Pansy Burden, Eunice Detamore, Minnie Duncan & Jessie Ramey.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Mathers-Gaunce Funeral Home by Dr. John Owen with burial to follow in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Sharpsburg, Kentucky.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon Wednesday until the time of service.
